Water Baptism...

 

• WHAT IS WATER BAPTISM?
  Baptism by immersion in water is a physical symbol of your new life as a follower of Jesus.  We identify with Jesus' death and burial for our sins, and then His resurrection to eternal life.  (Romans 6:4)

• WHO CAN BE BAPTIZED?
  Anyone who is a believer in Jesus as Savior can be baptized. (Matthew 28:19)  Jesus set the example for us to follow.  (Mark 1:9)

• HOW CAN I BE BAPTIZED?
  Contact the church office to sign up for the next baptism date (838.3000).  We scheduled them periodically throughout the year.  On the day of the baptism, please bring a full change of clothes, 1-2 towels, and a plastic bag for wet clothing.  Restrooms and dressing areas are available near the baptistry where you can change into shorts and a shirt to be baptized in.  Please do not wear white clothing for baptism.

 

• WHAT IF I WAS BAPTIZED AS AN INFANT OR HAVE ALREADY BEEN BAPTIZED BEFORE?
  If you were baptized as an infant and have not been baptized since accepting Jesus as your Savior, it is important for you to be baptized again as an outward sign of your inward change.  If you were once baptized by immersion in water but had a season of straying away from the faith, we encourage a fresh baptism experience to mark your decision to follow Christ again.
